Registration
Expressions of interests comprising an abstract of proposed presentation (up to 300 words) and the applicant’s short bio note for inclusion in the conference programme should be submitted to the organizers before the 30th of April 2026. Preferably they should be e-mailed to at least one of the conference international organisers: Professor Paul Dunne, Professor Stefan Markowski, and/or Dr. Luqman Saeed (see the conference webpage) and copied to the ICES 2026 secretarial mailbox: ices2026@wsiz.edu.pl
The submitted abstracts will be assessed by the international organisers in batches with progressive notifications of acceptances and rejections mailed to the proponents. The assessment procedure will end on the 29th of May 2026. The acceptance e-mails will include the conference Registration Form to be completed by the selected applicants and returned to the ICES 2026 secretarial mailbox: ices2026@wsiz.edu.pl
Please submit your proposal as soon as practicable to take advantage of the early bird registration fee discount, book your hotel accommodation, and avoid the last-minute administrative bottlenecks. It is expected that all conference presenters will attend in person, i.e., on-line presentations are not anticipated. Abstracts submitted before 20th of April 2026 will be eligible for the early bird registration. The organisers will assess these early bird submissions progressively by 1 May 2026. The deadline for early bird registrations is the 15th of May 2026. After the 15th of May regular conference registration fees will apply. The deadline for regular conference registration is the 14th of June 2026.
Ten places have been set aside for PhD candidates accepted for conference presentation. These will be offered a discounted conference registration fee and they will be awarded on the first-registered-first-served basis. If you wish to apply for one of these discounted registrations, please include in your expression of interest the title of your thesis/PhD course, the expected date of your doctorate completion, and the name of the awarding academic institution. (Alternatively, you may return your Registration Form to the secretarial mail box with the required PhD details prior to the payment of the registration fee to request the discounted conference registration fee.) To repeat, please note that there are only ten of these discounted PhD registrations so they will be allocated to the first ten accepted applicants in this category.
As you may recall, the Michael D. Intriligator Memorial Student Fund will cover the travel expenses and registration fees for the next conference for the graduate student in economics or a related field who presents the best paper. Please use the Registration Form to let the organisers know if you wish your paper to be considered.
Fees
The conference registration fee is set at PLN700 (c. EUR165) for early birds and PLN800 (c. EUR189) for regular registrations. There are also ten discounted registrations set aside for doctoral candidates at PLN500 (c. EUR118). Registration fees will include the welcome reception, lunches, and coffee breaks. There is a separate charge of PLN200 (c. EUR48) for the conference dinner on 26 June. This includes the cost of return bus transportation from the conference venue to the restaurant-cum-tavern located on the out-of-town UITM’s campus (approx. 20 kms from city centre).
The Registration Form provides details of the bank account to which all payments should be made in Polish zlotys (PLN) with transfer taxes and fees paid by the sender. The Polish zloty is fully convertible so there should be no problems in arranging these PLN-denominated transfers through normal banking channels. As usual, conference participants are expected to pay their own travel and accommodation expenses. Please look up the conference webpage for a list of hotels that have offered discounted rates.
